made the switch, December 21, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Corsair Vengeance K90 Performance MMO Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (CH-9000003-NA) (Personal Computers) I went from a logitech G15 to a Razer Black Widow Ultimate to this Corsair Vengeance K90, and I must say, I am so happy with the decision. The black widow is what got me hooked on mechanical keyboard, but i had a few gripes with it. first of all, the mx cherry blues feel great, but they are really noisy. this is just a preference thing, but i really love the feeling of typing on the reds on the corsair k90. i also love the look and construction of this keyboard. the black widow was glossy black plastic, which showed smudges and just looked cheaper than this keyboard.
as far as the whole hybrid mechanical/rubber dome debacle, it hasnt really given me the same problems everyone else has been having. there is obviously a noticeable difference between the two types of keys, with the mechanical keys being superior, but it really doesnt bother me. 99.9% of my keypresses are on mechanical keys, and the feeling of the rubber dome is still pretty high quality. there is one thing... Corsair Vengeance K90 - Beautiful and Consistent, February 10, 2012 By This review is from: Corsair Vengeance K90 Performance MMO Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (CH-9000003-NA) (Personal Computers) The Corsair 90 is a mostly cherry switch keyboard. The G/F keys are regular along with the utility keys like insert and delete. The keys that are cherry switches feel fantastic, they are well raised, separated and feel great when pushed down. Each click has a satisfying consistent feel. I really don't mind so much that the other keys aren't cherry switches but at the same time, I don't press them all that often. The lighting on the keys looks great against the brushed aluminum frame. However it is to be noted that the lighting is only so so on the generic keys and only one color - blue is present except for the G keys which are white. The keys glow underneath and reflect back giving not only the key letter/number itself a glow but the whole layout. Whats odd is that the F keys and utility keys don't have the same aura nor intensity since they are dome keys.
The keyboard itself feels sturdy, has considerable heft and has a USB pass through, please note that I couldn't use... Read more

Bleh~! As advertised, I was attracted by the MMO/RTS designation feature of the board and decided to take the dive in preparation for the new Star Wars MMO and since I still play a ton of Shogun: Total War. And as a hardcore PC enthusiast, I was drawn to the pretty lights that pop out under the keyboard.
The keyboard has heft. Compared to my ol' trusty 8 year old MS Ergonomic keyboard and Logitech Wireless Keyboard I couldn't help but feel I was really getting something special while pulling it out of the box and was quite taken by the fact that the cable forks into 2 USB plugs. I plugged this baby up and was ready roll. Unfortunately shortly after, that's where some negative feelings starting to arise.
