Finally, a Bluetooth mouse was released that has all of the qualities I desire:
- Made by one of the "big three" mouse manufacturers (Microsoft, Logitech, Kensington);
- Has more than one button and a scroll wheel (sorry Apple!);
- Under $50.00;
- Does not require purchasing a hefty charging stand/receiver;
- Works natively with Mac OS X's Bluetooth drivers.
As the title of this review states, the packaging does call out the fact that the mouse works well with PowerBooks. Don't own a PowerBook? The mouse works with any Bluetooth-enabled Macintosh computer running 10.2.8 or higher, or any Windows 2000/XP machine with a Broadcom/Widcomm Bluetooth chipset. I wish it was just a little bit bigger!, January 11, 2007 By This review is from: Logitech V270 Cordless Optical Mouse for Bluetooth - Bright Silver (Personal Computers) For some reason there is a dearth of full-size Bluetooth mice. There are tons of full-size WIRELESS mice, but why would I want to waste one my MacBook Pro's USB ports on an IR dongle, when I already have Bluetooth built-in? There is Apple's Wireless Mighty Mouse, but I have found it to be a bit flakey when using it on other folks' systems. I particularly don't like the feel of the scroll button on the Mighty Mouse, and the side buttons are near-impossible to use, to the point where they might as well not be there at all. What I want is a simple, no-frills Bluetooth mouse. The only mice that fit my criteria (that I could find) are the V270 and the RadTech BT600. The RadTech was a little more expensive than I wanted and not from a company I have experience with as far as computer peripherals, so I chose the V270. I'm mostly happy with my decision.
The V270 paired with my computer very easily. Even better, since I'm a freak about saving energy and always turn off the mouse... Read more

I have been using the Logitech wireless optical mouse and then the V200 for a couple of years now and this mouse feels just as solid as the other two USB based.
I had no problem connecting it to my Dell 6000 and Thinkpad X32 (both have internal bluetooth module). It works very well.
The only problem I have is after a long period of inactivity, the mouse goes to sleep. I have very inconsistent results to wake up the mouse. Sometimes all I need to do is to move the mouse or click a button; some other times, I have to turn the mouse off and then on; then at another times, I hve to repeatedly turn it off-on-off-on, until I see the blue light comes on. There does not seem to have a pattern.
Other than that, the mouse is excellent.
